Comment on Target

Production of medical doctors has risen from fewer than 50 graduates per year to nearly 100. Production of midwives has improved substantially, supported by the establishment of midwifery schools in all regional headquarters. Over 2,000 nurses graduate annually; because of almost all districts now have nursing training schools. Overall, these outputs demonstrate a deliberate and sustained approach to addressing human resource gaps in the health sector.
